The OnePlus Open reportedly performed better than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the durability test

OnePlus Open, a rumored foldable offering from the smartphone maker, is set to be unveiled soon. According to a recent report, OnePlus’ upcoming phone recently underwent a durability test in which it showed impressive performance. Although OnePlus has not yet announced the official launch date or other details about the device, reports and rumors about the OnePlus Open are already circulating on the internet. The phone’s color options were recently leaked. It is expected to launch in Emerald Eclipse and Voyage Black color options.

Tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) divided One post states that the rumored OnePlus Open has undergone a durability test in which it has been folded over 4,000,000 times with no damage to the hinge or display. If true, the upcoming OnePlus foldable could surpass the promise of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 with 2,00,000 folds. However, this is not official yet and OnePlus has not announced any details about it.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Open’s color options were recently leaked. The handset is expected to be available in Emerald Eclipse and Voyage Black color options.

It was previously stated that the OnePlus Open is said to be cheaper than the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 5. The price of the handset is said to be under Rs. 1,20,000 while Samsung’s smartphone costs Rs. 1,54,999 for its 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant in India. Additionally, OnePlus’ first foldable phone is said to come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

The handset is expected to feature a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED interior screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.3-inch AMOLED exterior panel. It will likely feature dual 32-megapixel front camera sensors. On the rear, it could feature a 50-megapixel rear sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel sensor with a periscope lens.
