The only Disney reboot that wasn’t canceled before release is set for renewal

After surviving the bespoke selection that saw two of the three fantastic reboots of established films removed from the release schedule and thrown into the ether or into the void after filming had already wrapped, Disney Plus’ Goose flesh It is within his right to consider renewal.

The Spiderwick Chronicles finally hit Roku, months after being abandoned by the Mouse House, but the origin story of Captain Nemo nautilus remains homeless, and that’s without even bothering to mention how many expensive originals the company completely scrapped from the world months and in some cases even weeks after they first aired.

It’s an encouraging sign that Disney touted Goose flesh as one of the biggest premieres in years that didn’t come from either of them war of stars or the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but producer Rob Letterman wisely refused to get ahead of himself in an interview The direct one.

“I mean, I wish it was up to us. I wish we could just green light anything we wanted. I wish it would be like this…”

Co-producer Nicholas Stoller echoed these sentiments because there is evidence that you can’t rely on Disney Plus to renew anything that isn’t MCU or war of stars Original.

“The one thing I’ve learned in this industry is that you just never know anything. You know you have to do the best you can and hope people respond to that. And I mean, I loved doing that. I love working with Rob. I love working with everyone on the show. And I really love Disney, and Sony is fantastic. But I really hope we get another season. It was great fun. Everyone involved really wants another season. And there is a lot to tell. And we have plenty of hooks to hit if we’re lucky enough to have another season. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed, you know.”

This is by no means an unfounded hope, although given the events of the last few months, one can never guarantee that Disney will pull the trigger.
