UNIVERSAL CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A Universal Studios Hollywood cast member was hospitalized after a stunt accident was reported Monday afternoon.
According to a spokesman for Universal Studios Hollywood, this happened during an afternoon show. Initial reports pointed to possible drowning, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department said the man required CPR upon arrival.
“Our thoughts are with him while he is being cared for,” the spokesman said. “Details about the event are being checked.”

A witness speaking to Eyewitness News said it all happened during a WaterWorld performance. He said the performer was on top of one of the towers and fell into the water as part of the storyline.
The witness told ABC7 the other workers noticed he was missing and went into the water to pull him up.
In a video provided by Eyewitness News, several people can be seen dragging the performer to a backstage area.
The witness said the show was suddenly canceled and guests were escorted out.
The condition of the performer is unknown.
