The Peripheral Trailer Amazon Release Date – Sci-Fi Drama

western world Creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have come up with a mind-blowing new sci-fi series for Prime Video – and it doesn’t take long for your eyes to turn around.
The Periphery, based on the best-selling novel by science fiction pioneer William Gibson, will premiere on streamer Friday, October 21, TVLine has learned, with additional episodes airing weekly thereafter. Prime Video has also released a trailer (embedded above) that gives us a glimpse of the futuristic wonders that await.
Chloe Grace Moretz (great) stars as Flynne Fisher, a bright young woman stuck in a dead-end town — that is, until she gets a taste of a new path thanks to a virtual reality-like headset. When she puts it on, she becomes a motorcycle-riding, badass ass-kick solving a murder in London… and she loves it. But this reality may not be so virtual. “You think this is a game,” she warns. “But it’s real. It hasn’t happened yet.” She is drawn into a strange world of knife-wielding robotic drivers, vanishing cars and deafening explosions. (Will we ever get any answers? Who knows? But it looks like one heck of a ride.)
Nolan and Joy are co-starring with creator and showrunner Scott B. Smith (A simple plan). Press PLAY at the top for a quick look The Peripheryand then tell us in the comments: Will you sign up?
