They are all regular characters that show up every week trying to figure out why Ben jumped before the project was done.
“Why did Ben leave?” said Gero. “What’s going on? Why hasn’t he told anyone? This mystery pulls you through week after week without alienating casual viewers. So the idea is that it’s pretty balanced. It’s going to be mostly the jumps. Every now and then, if there’s something like a big event that needs to be talked about in the present, it’s nearing about 40% of the episode, but the show called quantum leapand we will mainly focus on the jumps.”

And they can’t touch, so that kind of story is actually incredibly touching and very emotional and, if I do say so myself, very sexy at times. It’s like there’s a heat between these two characters.
