The Quantumania star is way too hyped to breathe for the next month

The hype train for Ant-Man and the Wasp is now in full swing, with the trailers hinting at a truly epic adventure beyond what we’ve seen in previous Ant-Man films. Most of the cast by now are seasoned MCU veterans, with Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer all making multiple appearances. But for a cast member, this will be their MCU debut and they’re understandably nervous:
Newton is the third actor to play Cassie in the MCU, while Abby Ryder Fortson plays her as a child ant man. After time skip on Avengers: Endgame, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang emerged to discover his daughter was now a teenager and was played by Emma Fuhrman. But Newton seems to be taking on the role forever and has a bright future ahead of him.
Fans will know that Cassie goes by the nicknames Stature, Stinger, Ant-Girl, and Giant-Girl at various points in Marvel Comics, and it seems likely that she’ll become part of some sort of Young Avengers team, possibly alongside Riri Williams and Kate Bishop . Dark predictions have been made about Scott Lang’s MCU future, so she could potentially take the mantle and vow to get revenge if the worst happens to her father.
But that’s a long way ahead, and the focus right now is on Quantumania. The events of this film will set the stakes for Phase 5, with Kang being a key player going forward. It will be a long month before it is released.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17th.
