The robbery victim was shot dead seven times in a cell phone store robbery in northeast Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Houston police are searching for two suspects who shot a man seven times in a robbery at a cell phone store in northeast Houston on May 6.

Police say the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. at a cell phone store near the 8500 block of Jensen. The video shows two men wearing ski masks entering the store.

A suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money from the victim, investigators say.

Police say the victim opened fire on the suspects with his pistol and missed. One of the suspects fired multiple shots at the victim, hitting her seven times.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

According to police, the thieves stole a box containing cell phones and cash. The video shows them running away from the building.

Police describe the suspects as black men, one wearing a black hoodie and black pants, the other wearing a black jacket and black pants with white stripes.
