The star of the way of water knows where his character wants to go at the end of the 5th chapter

After decades of waiting Avatar: The Way of Water has come out to the delight of James Cameron fans and giant blue kitty lovers around the world. It’s making some money, a sequel is on the way, and one actor says he knows the full fate of his character in it.

Miles Quaritch actor Stephen Lang comments on his villain in a new article published by Digital Spy. He’s read all of the in-can scripts up through the planned fifth film, says he’s not disclosing anything, and while it might affect other actors, Lang says he’s not skilled enough to make sure what happens next his performance in the film changed moment in a single film.

“So I know everything that happens with Quaritch. I’m not giving anything away to say that Quaritch is running consistently because [James Cameron] said that. I want to be just as honest and authentic in the context of what we’re trying to accomplish right now.”

Later in the play, the 70-year-old adds that they would debate what certain things meant or if they could later use them in filming the sequel. He also adds that his character has been changed from the first film and these changes may baffle him a bit.

“He is still the source of conflict. But it is also something else again, since it becomes part of the landscape. He kind of becomes part of Pandora, and it’s very confusing for him.”

Avatar: The Way of Water is in theaters now and has grossed more than $800 million since its debut. At the time of this story’s submission, it has a 78 percent positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a third sequel, for now, has a release date of December 20, 2024. After that, the final planned entries in the franchise, to which James Cameron is very dedicated, are for December 2026 and December 2028 planned. While ambitious, they aren’t guaranteed yet as Cameron said the second and third films need to make their money first.
