The Walking Dead: [Spoiler] Dies in Season 11, Episode 18

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Sunday’s episode of the Walking Dead. If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to before reading on.

This couldn’t have happened to a badder guy. In the Sunday episode of the Walking Dead (summarized here), when all hell broke loose in the Commonwealth, mega-brat Sebastian was finally being served his righteous desserts—and he himself was being served to strays.

Viewers hadn’t just been waiting for karma – and/or zombies – to bite Pamela’s son’s butt; they had waited with a murderous glint in their eyes. Which was showrunner Angela Kang’s plan all along. “Of course!” she tells TVLine, laughing. “We built it that way on purpose. He’s such a little guy in the comics that we were like, ‘Oh, this is going to be fun.’

“Sometimes you want the character to…I guess the trope name is a great bastard,” she continues. “And it’s kind of fun to see people being so obnoxious you just wait to see where their story goes. who Not Wanna watch this guy eat his face open?”

Everyone? No? We thought so. But although the fate of Teo Rapp-Olsson’s privileged cock was sealed before the actor even recorded a scene, Sebastian didn’t get the gruesome send-off he was originally meant to get. “We always knew it was going to have a very bloody ending,” says Kang. “And we always knew it would be zombies that would bring him down.

“There’s always a choice, ‘Is it a person or is it a zombie?'” she adds. “And we said, ‘No, he needs a zombie death.’ His ending here wasn’t even the death we wanted to do in the original version, but it fit the spot so perfectly that we went with it.”
