The Witcher fans get a first look at upcoming Netflix DLC, Wild Hunt.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a free update for next-gen gaming consoles on December 14th with some well-known goodies.

According to Nintendo Life, the upgrade from award-winning game developer CD Projekt Red features a special Nilfgaard armor that will be made available to players who complete a new downloadable content quest. Players can collect costumes and protective gear, including some of Geralt’s swords and armor seen in the first two seasons of the Netflix series. Another skin for Dandelion is also available.

The Witcher Showrunner Lauren Hissrich shared on Reddit a while back that the Nilfgaard armor is unique because it’s made up of versatile pieces that are looted during village raids and worn by a ragtag band of warriors who are forced against their will to serve.

“The Nilfgaardian army is made up of conscripts. As they march north, the army sacks towns and forces the villagers into military servitude. They’re not an elite force – yet […] The army itself is rather ragtag, born out of necessity, without glamor and means. Your armor reflects that.”

Since its release in 2015 The witcher 3 has received numerous awards and remains one of the most critically acclaimed video games out there. The update is free for players who already own the game. It includes versions for PlayStation5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.

The new version also has advanced features, such as improved graphics rendering with ray tracing support, structural improvements in code modification, and accelerated loading times. The updated version will be called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition. The latest promotional trailer for the game shows some scenes from the update.

CD Projekt Red previously revealed this The witcher 4 is already in pre-production under the working title Polaris. However, they keep a low profile on the details. In the meantime, there’s plenty of action in the updated version of The witcher 3. The Witcher fans get a first look at upcoming Netflix DLC, Wild Hunt.
