This conflict is so much bigger than Israel – and it is already here

It took about a day after the barbaric Hamas attacks for the American public and pundits to begin distancing the United States from the war in Israel.

On the left, the outbreak of war was presented as a natural result of the “cycle of violence,” the blame for which, of course, is attributed exclusively to Israel.

On the right, despite moral clarity and strong sympathy and support for Israel, fatigue from the Ukraine war has blurred the picture.

The arguments that distinguish Israel from Ukraine have also largely fallen flat. The most common point was that, unlike the corrupt, election-suspending, Nazi-sympathizing government in Ukraine, Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and our most important strategic ally in the region. Another point of contrast was Ukraine’s endless and aimless spending compared to Israel’s clear goal of eliminating the Hamas threat. But that also misses the point.

In place of what once would have been demanding support, most conservatives have asked, “Why do we care about a small regional war?”

The demonstrations of the last three weeks, with hundreds of thousands of terrorist sympathizers taking to the streets, should dispel any doubt that Israel is only the first stage of a broader struggle.

This question is a mistake. This is so much bigger than Israel.

What bubbles to the surface is just the beginning of an existential conflict between those who want a thriving civilization and nihilists. It is the morally sensible versus the spiritually corrupt. It’s the Western world versus medieval, violent thugs. It’s about valuing life more than death.

This is a test for the West.

It is no coincidence that Iran – with the help of its smallest proxy, Hamas – chose this moment to take major steps. The catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, where we abandoned tens of thousands of Americans and allies who helped us during the war, was the ultimate starting signal for our enemies.

The goals of our enemies are not hidden. We just have to listen. Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Zahar said in a News clip in December 2022: “The entire planet will be under our law; There will be no more Jews and Christian traitors.”

Caliphates do not end in Israel.

The only thing cruel like Hamas and Iran will ever understand is strength. They see treaties as a diversionary tactic and negotiations as a way to save time, as this latest and most brutal ceasefire violation confirms once again. And they see us in the West, with our low testosterone soy beta leaders, as fools who need to be defeated.

The rude reality that needs to be spoken out loud is that not all societies have the same morals.

And the left, in its pursuit of a progressive utopia, has opened the doors to our country and the rest of the Western world to terrorist mobs. What’s worse is that the woke left has largely embraced this jihadist movement, seemingly oblivious to the total conflict in the culture. The only overlapping value between these populations is hatred of America.

The demonstrations of the last three weeks, with hundreds of thousands of terrorist sympathizers taking to the streets, should dispel any doubt that Israel is only the first stage of a broader struggle.

The Palestinian Sheikh Ali Al-Faqir swore on television to conquer “Spain and Rome” as “Islamic countries” and that “America and the EU will soon collapse”. Videos from all over Europe show the extent of the anti-Western sentiment, and the police can also be seen in one video try to protect an individual holding the British flag in front of a horde of men surrounding him. Pro-Palestinian protesters in Minneapolis attacked an older driver as he was only driving on the road. Two Swedes were shot dead by a Tunisian citizen who said he was a fighter.for Allah.” There are Imams across America Preaching blood libel. In London, protesters chanted “Lanaat Allah ala al-kufar”: May Allah’s curses be upon the disbelievers. It’s a long list of examples.

It could already be too late for Europe. Now try like that of France And Germany Arresting protesters and calling for deportations must keep pace with decades of open border policies. But why is it that the United States has not issued the same clear call to action?

We hear the same calls for violence and genocide on college campuses and in the streets of the United States. Leftists who have long believed that America is an evil empire that must be destroyed from within are riding the wave of this moment. They actively participate in a pro-terror movement by tearing down posters, chanting pro-Hamas slogans and justifying the torture, dismemberment, rape and murder of civilians.

We have deeply disturbed the people of this country, who have already proven that they are willing to burn our cities in their anger, and have been shown that punishment rarely comes.

The rot runs deep.

Brave voices like Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan predicted this years ago. In 2017Sheikh Abdullah warned: “The voices we call for murder, bloodshed and theft of the people’s wealth come from London, Germany, Spain and Italy.”…The day will come when we have many more radicals, extremists and see terrorists coming from Europe [a] lack of decision making and trying to be politically correct.”

It is also a fact that there are already sleeper cells in our country. We know that thousands of “Extraterrestrials with special interest“Many countries, including the Middle East, have crossed our border illegally in recent years. In fact, last year alone there were more encounters than the previous year six years together. The United States also saw the most people already on The terrorist watch list reaches the southern border this year. Keep in mind that this doesn’t even take into account the untested “escape routes.”

This is what happens when people are allowed to live in safe spaces. They like their overly tolerant ideas – as long as they don’t have to live with them. But the world is not Candy Land, and everyone will soon understand that.

All of this is certainly based on a specific hatred of Jews – anti-Semitism is not “the oldest hate in the world” for nothing. But the Jewish people have been acting as a classic “canary in the coal mine” for some time.

It always starts with the Jews. With us it never ends.
