THURSDAY: Stay calm with more rain and storms

Columbus, Georgia (WRBL)- Thursday remains restless, more showers and storms are forecast. A few showers and rain showers are possible throughout the morning, but most will remain dry and mild. Around noon the clouds will break up and give us a bit of sun. This will favor the development of oncoming storms that produce heavy rain and gusty winds. The best chances for a stronger storm or two are probably in our northwest.
On Friday it seems to be getting drier, the clouds are decreasing and the temperatures are a bit cooler. Expect some sunshine until late afternoon and evening. One or two scattered showers cannot be ruled out, but it looks like that probability will remain rather small.
A cold front will follow on Saturday, bringing rain and storms in the afternoon and evening. Some storms can become violent, with hail and wind being the main threats.
