One of those films was the Heist film tower robbery, which starred Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller. In an interview with Daily Beast, the multi-platinum artist shared that he should also be part of the comedic roster.
“Actually, man, I should be there tower robbery. I was ‘indisposed’. Me and Brian Grazer who produced american gangstertalked about it when it was just a script and board [Ratner] hadn’t even gotten around to directing, so it was years ago,” TI said.
When the project was on its way to becoming a proper movie, TI was doing his time.
“After that it went away, then came back with Brett and Ben Stiller and I got reconsidered and Brett and I had some very, very positive discussions about it and I was right there. And then life happened. But I still think it’s going to be a good movie,” he said.

Why TI was once sentenced to 11 months in prison
In September 2010, TI was reportedly pulled over by police in Los Angeles for a traffic violation. But TI managed to get a lighter sentence of 11 months.
The hip-hop mogul vowed to change after the arrest, citing drug addiction as the main reason for his behavior.
