Turn off the lights of the galaxy. Tom Schwartz finally comes to the clear realization that Tom Sandoval was dishonest and used it. He gave his business partner the impression that his months-long affair with Raquel Leviss was a one-night stand. Sandoval capitalized on his longtime best friend’s sympathies and used Schwartz as a buffer.
Perhaps getting out of the Sandoval vacuum was helpful for Schwartz. Surely it must have been enlightening to hear Ariana Madix’s side of the story. In a recent podcast, the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner said her perspective helped him see the depth of Sandoval’s fraud.
Schwartz said his perception was flawed and “low in bandwidth”
Schwartz recently appeared on an episode of “When Reality Hits” with Jax and Brittany via Podcast One. He told former couple Vanderpump Rules that he was less aware of what was going on between Raquel and Sandoval due to extraordinary circumstances in his personal life.
“Just to give people a little context, I’ve been going through the most intense year of my entire life. My dad fell, hit his head, he had a cerebral hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism… he had a 5% chance of survival. He was in three different hospitals for seven months and it was honestly one of the most intense experiences of my life,” Schwartz revealed.
Then there was her ill-fated bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s. Sandoval and Schwartz’s troubles opening their eatery were well documented in Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules.
Schwartz was overwhelmed
Schwartz continued, “We’re well over budget and behind schedule. My brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer, so he’s undergoing chemotherapy. My other brother is in rehab, there are other things I don’t want to talk about in my family.”
The Vanderpump Rules star made it clear he wasn’t about “evoking sympathy”. He just wanted to “give a little taste of how little bandwidth” he had. “My adrenal glands were freaking bad. I felt like I was constantly in a fight or on the run, and maybe I was involved out of selfishness out of necessity,” Schwartz added.
This is where we get the sense that Schwartz sees reason. Finally, he accused Sandoval of “selling me a shit list”. He also acknowledged that “Ariana’s side of the story is completely different.”
Well well well. It seems that Sandoval has lost the last person willing to trust him when in doubt.
