Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 finally has a Steam release date after 3 years of epic exclusivity

The PC version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released exclusively on the Epic Games Store in September 2020. Now, three years later, it’s ready to hit Steam on October 3rd.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is the remastered collection of the PS1 classics Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 published by Activision. After the disastrous release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 in 2015, it was considered a successful turnaround for the series “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 proves that the series’ best step forward in 15 years was its regression,” says IGN’s review of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
On the Steam page for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Vicarious Visions and PC port specialist Iron Galaxy are listed as the game’s developers. After the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Vicarious Visions became part of Diablo developer Blizzard Entertainment and was renamed Blizzard Albany, dampening the prospects of a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game. In fact, Activision has not yet indicated that there are any plans to return to the franchise.
