Ufotable has blessed the anime community by bringing us two spectacular seasons of Demon Hunter. The anime premiered in 2019 and every episode of the first season has wowed everyone with its beautiful animation, background music and of course the voice acting. The Japanese studio then came back in 2021 with the long-awaited second season of the anime, which surpassed the first season and the Mugen train movie in terms of quality.

Every episode of Season 2 is a work of art and we can’t wait to see what Ufotable is cooking up Demon Slayer Season 3: Swordsmith Village Bow. However, there were some masters Demon Hunter Episodes we can’t stop thinking about. So while you wait for anime to return, here are the top ten episodes to watch to remember Demon Slayer Beauty.

10. You Must Master One Thing (S1E17)

The episode features an intense battle between Zenitsu and the son of the Spider family. As usual, Zenitsu was injured in battle and feared for his life more than ever. Also, after being bitten by the demon, Zenitsu wonders if he will become the demon’s slave in a few minutes.

But thanks to a flashback, Zenitsu goes into his unconscious state, surprising the spider with it “Thunder Breath, First Form.” We learn that Zenitsu hated being dependent on just one form of attack, but his coach asked him to “Master” this one thing so he never loses in a fight. However, against the Spider Demon, Zenitsu blesses us by going sixfold with his “Thunder Breath, First Form: Thunder Clap and Lightning.”

Along with the stunning animation and voice acting, this episode gave us more insight into Zenitsu’s character. So it’s no wonder that Zenitsu fans love this episode of the first season.

9. No Matter How Many Lives (S2E18)

It was the last episode of season 2 and showed us the episodes of Demon Slayer Battle against the Upper Rank Six. After watching Rengoku’s sinking in the Mugen-Zug arc, fans were concerned if Tengen would also take a similar path. However, the episode ended on a good note after Nezuko used her abilities to heal Tengen and Inosuke, saving their lives.

The finale shows us a flashback to Gyutaro and Daki’s past lives and explains why the duo decided to become demons. In addition to what made it one of the best Demon Hunter Episodes was the introduction of Doma, who turned the siblings into demons.

8. A Fake Binding (S1E18)

It was one of those rare ones Demon Hunter Episodes where we saw Tanjiro and Inosuke teaming up to fight a powerful enemy. Before Tanjiro found out about Rui, he thought that the father was the leading member of the Spider Demon family. After Tanjiro frees the mother spider from the cursed life, the father attacks the spider Demon Hunter Duo. Tanjiro and Inosuke fight the father, but surprisingly, Giyu kills the demon in one punch.

The episode was beautiful but also heartbreaking because it finally revealed the origin of the Spider family. Rui, one of the members of Twelve Demon Moons, forged this fake family to fill the void in his heart. In addition to Giyu’s spectacular performance, it was Rui’s emotional backstory that caused a sensation “A Forged Bond” one of the best episodes of Demon Hunter.

7. Transformation (S2E14)

At first we thought Daki was the upper tier six demon killing people in the entertainment district. She was too powerful for Tanjiro, and that Demon Hunter did his best to fight the demon alone. However, Daki dominates Tanjiro in the fight, so Nezuko steps in to help her brother.

The episode was special for some fans because it showed us the dark side of Nezuko. However, it was one of the best Demon Hunter Follow due to Gyutaro’s first appearance. Several fans didn’t read this Demon Hunter Manga, so seeing Gyutaro coming out of Daki’s throat caught the community by surprise.

6. Gather (S2E15)

In this episode, Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira, fights the demon siblings with the help of Tanjiro. Gyutaro thought that the Sound Hashira couldn’t fight because of the poison in his body. However, Tengen shocks Gyutaro by being extravagant with his poison, which obviously frustrates the demons. On the other hand, Inosuke and Zenitsu team up to deal with Daki. The fight choreography and animation in the episode are nothing short of spectacular, making the episode similar in quality to the Mugen Train movie.

5. Layered Memories (S2E12)

It was the first Demon Hunter Episode where Tanjiro got angry at a demon. After Daki kills the innocent people in the entertainment district, Tanjiro awakens his anger to overwhelm the Upper-Rank Six. Tanjiro’s speech and movement were too similar to Yoriichi’s, so it was exciting to see Muzan’s cells get scared during the fight.

Tanjiro comes very close to severing Daki’s head, but at the last moment he coughs up blood and falls to his knees. Daki considers taking this opportunity to kill Tanjiro, and then we see Nezuko emerge in her demon form to bash the Upper-Rank Six.

4. Defeat a high-level demon (S2E13)

In this episode, we saw how Tangen fought Gyutaro with the help of Tanjiro. Meanwhile, Inosuke and Zenitsu deal with the other demon sibling. It was a treat to watch Tengen use the spinning circular slashes against Gyutaro’s flying Bloodscythes Demon Hunter fans.

On the other hand, Tanjiro joins Zenitsu and Inosuke in their fight against Daki, and the trio attack simultaneously to sever the demon’s head. However, the episode ends with Gyutaro stabbing Inosuke from behind, leading us to think this is the end of the road for the hotheads Demon Hunter.

3. Hinokami (S1E19)

In the first season, it is the only episode where we see Tanjiro perform the Hinokami Kagura dance. While Giyu and Shibobu help Inosuke and Zenitsu, Rui reveals he is the Lower Moon Five and overpowers Tanjiro. Rui first gets angry at the daughter for going against his wishes, and then he uses his strings to contain Nezuko. Rui wondered why a demon would fight for a human, especially when he saw Nezuko harming herself to save her brother. Seeing this, Rui realizes that he desires a similar type of bond, but Tanjiro refuses to give up on his sister.

Tanjiro knew his tenth form was not enough to defeat Rui, so the Demon Slayer pushed his limits and performed the ceremonial kagura dance. Eventually, he overpowers the demon and cuts off its head, giving us one of the most spectacular moments of season 1 of Demon Hunter.

2. Set Your Heart on Fire (S2E7)

In the episode, we saw Rengoku’s final stand against Akaza, the Top Three of the Kizuki Twelve. The Mugen Train arc introduced us to the Flaming Hashira, and we fell in love with this character immediately. When Akaza was sent to kill Tanjiro, Rengoku stepped forward to fight the demon. Obviously, Akaza dominated throughout the fight, but the Hashira burned his heart and left everyone speechless at his sheer will. That Demon Hunter held his last breath so he could kill Akaza, but the demon survived the whole ordeal.

Every frame of Rengoku and Akaza’s fight was unlike anything we’ve seen on TV. It was clearly one of the best moments in anime history, and it was that fight that made Mugen Train such a special arc Demon Hunter fans.

1. I will never give up (S2E17)

That was definitely the best Demon Hunter Episode that Ufotable offered us. The longer episode showed Tanjiro and Tengen’s standings against Gyutaro. Initially, we saw Tanjiro fighting Gyutaro alone, and there was a moment when the young member of the Demon Hunter Corps sympathized with the demon siblings.

In the penultimate episode of Season 2, Tanjiro oversteps his bounds to decapitate Gyutaro with the help of Tengen. Zenitsu, on the other hand, uses Thunderclap and Lightning: Godspeed to defeat Daki. Eventually, Insouke joins the fight and the group successfully defeats the demon siblings. Every frame of the episode was a sight to behold for the Demon Hunter fans. Additionally, the voice acting in the final minutes of the episode kept most fans in suspense, making it a truly masterful episode of the series. Top 10 Demon Slayer Episodes Ranked
