“The Bene Gesserit have always fascinated me,” says Denis Villeneuve, director of the new one dune film franchise and an EP The Sisterhoodsaid in 2019. “Focusing a series on this powerful order of women seemed not only relevant and inspiring, but also a dynamic framework for the television series.”
