Video shows Las Vegas police arrest murder suspect Tupac Shakur

LAS VEGAS (KABC) – New video shows the moment Las Vegas police arrested Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the self-proclaimed gangster arrested in the shooting death of rapper Tupac Shakur.

Investigators believe Davis planned and orchestrated the 1996 shooting. They say it was in retaliation for an argument the rapper had earlier that evening at the MGM Grand Hotel-Casino with Davis’ nephew Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson.

Bodycam video obtained by ABC News shows Davis being handcuffed and sitting in the passenger seat of the police car.

At this point, Davis is the only living suspect in the murder. He made his first court appearance in the case on Wednesday.

Davis had long been a known suspect in the case and publicly acknowledged his role in the murder in interviews leading up to his tell-all 2019 memoir “Compton Street Legend.”

The case came back into the spotlight in July when Nevada authorities served a search warrant in connection with the rap star’s shooting.

Shakur was shot and killed on September 7, 1996, while riding in a car on the Las Vegas Strip.
