TV Ratings for Tuesday, January 3: “Rookie” hits 2-1/2 year audience high

ABC’s The newbie and The Beginner: Federal Agencies both posted significant gains with their new team on Tuesday, while CBS’ FBI caught the biggest crowd of the night.

ABC | The newbie attracted a total of 4.5 million viewers and a demo rating of 0.6, achieving the highest viewership since May 2020(!) and the highest demo count since May 2021. TVLine readers gave the episode an average grade of “A” , read the summary. federal agencies bounced back to series highs of 3.7 mil/0.4. At the end of the ABC night, the Will Trent Premiere (3.5 mil/0.4) surpasses everything federal agencies had done in time window; Rate its premiere below!

CBS | FBI (7.4 million/0.6) returned from the Christmas break with stable viewership and increased by a tenth in the demo. International (5.4mil/0.4) and Most Wanted (4.3m/0.3) each lost a few viewers, with the latter also ticking down in the demo.

FOX | the inhabitant (2.5 mil/0.3) emerged ahead of next week’s doubles episode finale.

ABC | AGT: All Stars (3.3 mil/0.5) was lower than Monday’s premiere (5.1 mil/0.6); New Amsterdam (2.3 mil/0.3) showed up on a low audience series.
