Una Healy debuts striking new look as star ‘so excited’ to make major career change

UNA Healy has revealed the first look ahead of her panto rotation.
The Tipperary woman plays the fairy queen in the upcoming panto Sammy, Buffy & the Beanstalk at the National Stadium.
And the first look at her star turn in the Christmas production shows the 41-year-old star in an extravagant blue and silver dress with her new guna, designed by top Dublin designer Claire Garvey.
Una revealed she was thrilled to star in producers Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick’s 25th anniversary panto.
She said: “Every girl wants to be a panto fairy and the National Stadium is a perfect panto venue.”
“Being in their 25th anniversary panto is also very special.
“You can’t get to 25 if you don’t flower well. I’m so excited, oh yes I am.”
Fans hoping to see Una live at the show will be disappointed as the Saturdays star will be filmed in advance of the performances, allowing her to appear completely interactive as the most ethereal fairy queen ever.
Una joins Alan Hughes as Sammy Sausages, Rob Murphy as Buffy, Johnny Ward as Baron Creepy Crawley and Conor Clear as Jack in the series, once again written by Karl Broderick.
Una previously revealed: “I was blown away by Alan and Karl’s panto when we were there recently.”
