‘Venom 3’ director promises a Marvel film from Sony will be ‘amazing’

A lot of people were disappointed that Andy Serkis wasn’t invited back to the top Poison 3 after upping the silliness factor to endearingly stupid levels with the sequel Let there be a bloodbathwhich in turn increased the pressure on director Kelly Marcel to succeed even further.
After all, it’s a tall order to make your feature-length directorial debut on a Marvel Comics blockbuster that’s already been hinted at as the final film of Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock, not to mention that the first two together grossed more than $1.3 billion -dollars grossed at the box office. So the pressure is real, but what works in Marcel’s favor is familiarity.
The author and filmmaker co-wrote the opening chapter, wrote the script for the follow-up film with her long-time collaborator and leading actor Hardy, and was promoted to producer at the same time, meaning she had triple responsibilities Poison 3 seems like a natural progression on paper.

With Morbius Filling up and no one was particularly excited about the prospect of either Madam Web or Kraven the HunterThe symbiote is once again tasked with carrying the burden of Sony’s Spider-Man universe and its likely future on its broad shoulders, although Marcel didn’t want to reveal much in an interview with Collider.
“I will be killed if I say anything about it Poison 3, but I have to say, yes, Tom and I have a long history together. We love each other. I love working with each other. We both love the Venom franchise. It’s just a great pleasure for us to be able to create this third part together. I can’t really tell you anything except that it will be great. Tom and I really have a lot of fun together when we work together. There’s a lot of laughter.”
Let’s hope the studio stays out of the dynamic duo’s way and gives them a chance to tinker, as Sony is the only viable standalone Marvel project so far Poison 3 However, they see fit to send the titular anti-hero out in style.
