[VIDEO] “Not Dead Yet”: Gina Rodriguez at the premiere of the ABC comedy series

Gina Rodriguez gets a visit from the other side.

The Jane the maiden Vet stars in ABC’s new comedy Not dead yet – Premieres this Wednesday, February 8 at 8:30/7:30 – as Nell Serrano, a journalist returning to the US from London after a broken engagement. Nell gets a job at the local newspaper where she used to work, but instead of picking up where she left off, Nell is assigned to the humble obituary consultant. And the gig comes with an unexpected and not entirely welcome side effect: the people Nell writes about appear as ghosts to her!

In TVLine’s exclusive preview, Nell is greeted by her first ghost, Monty (played by guest star Martin Mull), creator of a famous chewing gum jingle.

“Are you here to kill me?” asks a terrified Nell, before moving on to the denial phase, “No, I don’t see any dead people… Just gotta have the chili cheese fries and the cake and the five cocktails and maybe half.” gummy bear that I ate.”

“Calm down, Keith Richards,” replies Monty.

Adapted by David Windsor and Casey Johnson (The Real O’Neals) from the book by Alexandra Potter Confessions of a 40 Year Old F**k Up, Not dead yet also stars Hannah Simone (new girl), Lauren Ash (Supermarket), Rick Glassman (As we see it), Josh Banday (upload) and Angela Gibbs (On my block, black jesus).
