[VIDEO] Poker Face Trailer: Natasha Lyonne Mystery on Peacock

Don’t try to put one on poker faceis Charlie Cale. She’ll sniff it out from a mile away.

Natasha Lyonne plays an amateur detective who always knows when someone is lying in Peacock’s new mystery series poker face, debuting on streamer Thursday, January 26th. In the official trailer just released – which you can watch above – Lyonnes Charlie roams town to town in her vintage Plymouth Barracuda, using her special gift to solve crimes. “There’s nothing mystical about it,” Charlie points out. “All I can say is.” And no, it’s not “female intuition,” as a character played by Luis Guzman suggests. “It’s not like a tampon ad, okay?” Charlie tells him. “It’s a real thing!”

The trailer also offers a look at Benjamin Bratt as the sinister henchman tasked with bringing Charlie in – it seems like a lot of people want Charlie dead, or at least out of the picture – along with a who’s who of familiar faces from Adrien Brody and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Chloe Sevigny and Ellen Barkin (who says to Charlie, “You’re watching too much date line.”) Oh, and did we mention that the series is written and directed by glass onion Author Rian Johnson?
