‘Wakanda Forever’ star shares MCU advice from Brie Larson
If you’re a female star new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then there’s probably no better person to offer sage advice and words of wisdom than Brie Larson.
Sure, Scarlett Johansson was part of the franchise furniture for a decade and remains a hugely popular presence while fans keep tripping over themselves whenever Elizabeth Olsen does anything, but Larson has seen and done everything during her tenure as Carol Danvers, for better and worse.
Not only is she an Oscar winner and the star of a multi-billion dollar success story, but Larson has also grown accustomed to constant criticism and trolls directing their anger in her direction. In this sense, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Star Dominique Thorne revealed to ScreenRant that Larson gave her some kind words of encouragement when it comes to dealing with both the positives and negatives of the MCU makes perfect sense.
“I was also fortunate enough to speak to Brie Larson. She was truly an open book about what her experience was like as a human woman trying to play a superhuman woman and all the things that come with that. I was very, very grateful to be able to have some real conversations with people who care about the work. Not only do they do a great job creating characters that we fall in love with, but they also care about the way that role and that work is carried out.”
Thorne previously confirmed that she’d also spoken to Robert Downey Jr., so the newcomer was already sitting on the learning tree of some serious MCU stars past and present. Based on the reception for her debut in Wakanda foreverwhich in turn fueled excitement for the Disney Plus solo series heart of steelthe future of the youngster under the stewardship of Kevin Feige looks bright.
