Walmart ‘Black Friday Deals for Days’ 2022 Plans: Starts November 6th

Walmart’s Black Friday deal events begin in early November.

WASHINGTON — Amid higher inflationary prices, consumers on a budget will start holiday shopping earlier this year, and retailers are liking it Walmart noticed.

The world’s largest retailer will again offer three Black Friday events in November to ring in the holiday shopping season.

The retailer’s “Black Friday Deals for Days” is a month-long promotional event that has been an integral part of the company since 2020. New to this year’s shopping event is an early access window for Walmart+ members, the retailer announced Wednesday.

“Black Friday has evolved over the years from a single day into an entire season and is without a doubt the most anticipated shopping event of the year,” said Charles Redfield, Walmart’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, in a press release.

Offers start online at Walmart.com first and then proceed to stores a few days later. The company has yet to announce what the three different shopping events will focus on.

The retailer hinted on Wednesday that customers can expect deals in electronics, household, toys and clothing with brands like Apple and Dyson. Last year, Walmart’s three deals events focused on toys, electronics, and tires.

Walmart+ members get the first Dibs, now with a seven-hour early access window. The company’s membership program, which recently added a basic Paramount+ streaming subscription to its list of perks, costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month.

Walmart will also once again be part of an ever-growing list of stores and retailers to remain closed on Thanksgiving Day 2022.

Several other retailers such as Target and Amazon have already started early Black Friday sales for October. Amazon held its second Prime Day-like event this year on October 11-12.

But 2022 isn’t the first year American customers are expected to do their Christmas shopping early. In 2021, Americans are shopping earlier to avoid shipping delays and supply chain issues. The coronavirus pandemic has also changed Christmas shopping trends in recent years.
