Walton’s Thanksgiving Video: What Are John-Boy & Co. Thankful For?

What are the Waltons thankful for when Thanksgiving comes “this” year? (Besides the fact that Daddy hasn’t turned into an evil runabout terrorizing Jefferson County, Virginia?)
Family matriarch Olivia (played again by scandal‘s Bellamy Young) poses this question to the Hubs and their luscious brood in our exclusive sneak peek from The CW’s A Walton’s Thanksgiving Film premiering this Sunday November 20th at 8/7c.
(To the lactose intolerant who wants to press play above… My apologies in advance. But you knew it was a snake when you picked it up.)
A continuation of the well-watched from last November The Waltons’ homecomingThe CW’s latest reboot of Earl Hamner’s legendary family drama reunites the titular clan as they prepare for Thanksgiving in 1934. “Depression hit everyone,” reads the synopsis, “but John Walton (now played by The Lightning‘s Teddy Sears) has found a way to support his family on the farm and take odd jobs with the eccentric Baldwin Sisters. It’s also the time of year for the annual Harvest Festival fair, where rides, talent shows and pie contests are the focus of the Waltons’ attention.”
As the story unfolds, “John-Boy (This is us‘ Logan Shroyer) learns what it means to take responsibility, Mary Ellen (Marcelle LeBlanc) learns to understand patience and cooperation, Grandma (Rebecca Koon) discovers that winning can be complicated, and Olivia shares her healing heart with each other Member of the Walton family – at a time when each of them needs it most. And when a little boy enters the world of the Waltons, everyone’s life changes in ways they never imagined.”
A Walton’s ThanksgivingThe cast also includes Christian Finlayson as Jason, Tatum Matthews as Erin, Samuel Goergen as Jim Bob, Calloway Corrick as Elizabeth, and Alpha Trivette as Grandpa, while Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. guest-star, and Richard Thomas, aka OG John-Boy, narrates.
Spending (early) Thanksgiving with the Waltons this Sunday? And were the “Baldwin Sisters” really sisters or just… very good friends? To discuss!
