WATCH: Giant waterspout forming off Florida Keys coast
(WFLA) – Severe thunderstorms sparked a possible gargoyle off the coast of the Florida Keys on Friday as winds drove the storm northeast.
Heavy rains prompted the National Weather Service to issue flood warnings for parts of Miami-Dade County.
A video shared by Twitter user @Hubery07 shows a large gargoyle off the shore of Anne’s Beach in Islamorada.
The storms were expected to continue into the night, but NWS did not issue any major warnings. However, the agency warned of gusty winds, frequent lightning, small hail and possibly an isolated tornado.
