Watch ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Trailer: Mando & Grogu Reteam

It’s been almost a year since we last saw Mando and Grogu in The Book of Boba Fett.
He is back again.
Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, better known as Mando, is back under the helmet in Season 3 of the Disney+ hit The Mandalorian. Check out the trailer below.
When we last saw Pascal’s wandering warrior in Season 2, he had just said goodbye to Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, who was spirited away by Luke Skywalker to begin his Jedi training. It was an extremely moving moment, one of the defining moments of the entire Disney Star Wars era. But note: we said it was the last we saw of her in The Mandalorian.
The last time we actually I saw her in The Book of Boba Fett, which arguably undermined the emotionality of The Mandalorian season 2 finale by getting Mando and Grogu back together a little too quickly. Where were the stakes?! We had to feel this separation! Maybe it was a way of not having to show us the creepy CGI Luke so often.
However, Mando and Grogu’s reunion obviously won’t be the focus of Season 3 then. Instead, a whole new adventure awaits. In The Book of Boba Fett, Mando got a new ship, a rebuilt chrome Naboo starfighter (as seen in 1999’s The Phantom Menace). But in the Mandalorian season 2 finale, he also harbored a new grudge: Mando possesses the Darksaber, a legendary black-bladed lightsaber created by the first Mandalorian Jedi. Those who have earned the right to wield the Darksaber have the right to rule the planet of Mandalore. But you can only earn the right to wield it by defeating the previous wielder in battle. (Notably, The Mandalorian is the live-action continuation of storylines from the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels in its focus on this weapon.)
Mando won the Darksaber in battle from Imperial villain Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). But although he wishes to give it to the person who should rule in the Mandalorian line of Mandalore, Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), she knows it will not be hers unless she defeats Mando in battle. Though they stared together at Moff Gideon’s forces as allies, Mando and Bo-Katan must now clash at some point.
How much will that haunt him in Season 3? And will his paths cross again with Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson)? We won’t spoil it, check out the trailer below!
