Westlife star Mark Feehily touches fans’ hearts with a rare snap of his daughter, who he misses while on tour

WESTLIFE star Mark Feehily missed his little one while on tour with his bandmates.

The singer and his partner Cailean O’Neill gave birth to their daughter Layla through surrogacy back in 2019.

Mark was away from his family for a few weeks while he was with bandmates Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan on the Asian leg of their tour.

The Sligo native is looking forward to returning to his husband and young daughter and taking a well-deserved break from performing.

The 43-year-old shared a heartbreaking photo of Layla smiling from ear to ear in a white jumpsuit on Instagram today.

He said, “It won’t be long until I can be with you again, my little darling.”

Mark’s friends and fans all raved about the adorable picture.

Former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle said: “Sweet cake!!!!”

One follower wrote: “She’s so sweet it always steals my heart.”

Erica commented: “Beautiful Layla is growing up and looking so graceful that time flies…beautiful family you are.”

Fans recently hailed Shane Filan as the “best dad” after he gave his son the ultimate birthday surprise.

The singer and his wife Gillian are parents to their daughter Nicole and sons Patrick and Shane Junior.

Westlife performed at the Helong Sports Center Stadium in Changsha, China last week.

The Sligo native took a break from singing to address the audience and said: “I have to make a video for my son Patrick.”

“Today is his birthday. He turns 15 today and I’m obviously not there.”

“But I’m here with all my friends in Changsha. I want to sing happy birthday to my son and I want you to help me, is that okay?”

The entire stadium started singing “Happy Birthday to Patrick.”

Shane looked like he missed his son as he placed his hand over his heart.

The 44-year-old shared the heartbreaking clip on Instagram and said: “Happy birthday Patrick. Entirely from China! Thank you Changsha for making this video special for my son.”

The Irish star’s friends and fans wished Patrick a happy birthday and praised Shane for being the “best dad”.

Alice commented: “My best wishes, you have the best dad, Patrick. Happy Birthday.”
