WGA Awards: 2023 Nominee List – Writers Guild of America

The nominees for the 75th Annual Writers Guild Awards, taking place on Sunday March 5, have been announced at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

In addition to the usual suspects such as Better call Saul, The Crown, Hacks and barryThis year’s nominees include first-time contenders such as Andor, Severance, Yellowjackets, Abbott Elementary School and The bear.

This year’s WGA Awards comes amid rumors of the guild’s first possible strike action since 2007/08. With its current contract expiring on May 1st, the WGA is seeking higher streaming residuals as well as higher minimum royalty rates for its members.
