Who was Nipsey Hussle?

Airmiess Joseph Asghedom, known as Nipsey Hussle, was a musician, entrepreneur and philanthropist. The Los Angeles-born rapper, who was signed to Jay-Z’s entertainment agency Roc Nation, was 33 when he died.

Hussle quickly rose to fame after releasing numerous mixtapes, including his series Bullets Ain’t Got No Name, The Marathon, The Marathon Continues, and Crenshaw.

In January 2020, almost a year after his death, Hussle was awarded two Grammys.

When is the Nipsey Hussle murder trial?

The trial of 32-year-old Holder will begin on June 2nd. Holder was charged in May 2019 on one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder, as well as firearm.

The trial was originally scheduled to begin on January 5, 2021, but has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The trial, along with jury selection, is expected to take about four weeks.

Who Killed Nipsey Hussle?

Holder is accused of gunning down Hussle and was indicted by a grand jury. According to a 2019 CNN report, he was friends with the rapper and a member of the Rollin’ 60s gang, which Hussle had been a part of.

After a conversation between Hussle and Holder went sour, Holder allegedly drove off with his then-girlfriend. After drawing a gun, he prompted her to drive around the block and then stop near the mall where Hussle’s store was located. He reportedly told her to wait there and said he’d be “right back.”

A 512-page transcript of grand jury testimony states that Holder “was within yards of Hussle and fired multiple shots at him from two different guns.”

His defense attorney has tried to keep the minutes secret, fearing it would deny his client a fair trial.

An autopsy report states that Hussle died of gunshots to the torso and heart and was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.

Holder’s ex-girlfriend is set to testify in court. He has pleaded not guilty.
