When is the Mega Millions draw on January 10, 2023?

WASHINGTON – After nearly three months of losing the lottery, will anyone break the trend Tuesday night and win a $1.1 billion Mega Millions jackpot?

Regardless How long does it take, the odds of winning the lottery grand prize do not change and are impressive at 1 in 302.6 million. But someone will eventually match all six numbers and win what is now known as the jackpot fifth largest in US history.

The drawing is scheduled for 11pm EST, but it usually takes a few hours to determine if there is a winner.

The $1.1 billion prize is for a winner who chooses to get paid through a pension with 30 payments over 29 years. Winners typically prefer cash, which would be estimated at $568.7 million for Tuesday night’s draw.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states and Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands.

The drawing takes place on Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time (10:00 p.m. Central Time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain Time, 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time).

The Mega Millions draws are currently held every Tuesday and Friday night.

Whether or not you can buy a Mega Millions ticket online depends on your location.

Currently, the lotteries are in only nine states and the District of Columbia offer ways to buy tickets online or through their lottery’s mobile app. These states include: Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

If you don’t live in one of these states, you may be out of luck.

Another option that has emerged in recent years is courier services, such as Lotto.com and jackpot, which allow players to order lottery tickets via a mobile app or website. These companies purchase the ticket on behalf of the player from a licensed retailer in their state, then upload an image of it to the app and securely store the physical ticket.

But again, location is key as these courier services are not available everywhere.

Jackpocket, which operates in 13 states and Washington, DC, saw a big spike in orders as the Powerball climbed into record-breaking territory last year.

Jackpocket is currently available in Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Washington DC and West Virginia.

Lotto.com, which also operates in Texas, Colorado, New Jersey and New York, said it saw Powerball ticket sales increase 1,181% in November compared to October as the jackpot hit $1 billion exceeded.
