The left needs Donald Trump more than we do. That’s the takeaway from the rapid and shocking collapse of CNN+, the stillborn Cable News Network streaming service, which was born three weeks ago and was pronounced dead on Thursday.
Donald Trump is the sun that fuels the left. He is the source of their energy, the god they worship, the justification for staying in power, the wind beneath their wings.
The left needs President Trump a lot more than we do.
Let me define my use of the word “we”. It represents those of us who are grateful to live in the freest, fairest and most prosperous country on earth. She represents those of us who recognize that our founding documents, the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, were biblically inspired and had the power to eradicate the unrighteousness of human nature.
My use of the word “we” in this case is not intended to be politically biased. It does not connote political law. It means people of sound mind, people who are rational, objective and believe in the truth. We don’t need Donald Trump anymore.
This was not written to disparage and/or criticize America’s 45th President. It was written to convey how far we’ve come and what he taught us. There was clearly a time, though some of us didn’t realize it, that we desperately needed President Trump. We needed him to open our eyes to the depth and scope of America’s political corruption. We needed him to expose the corporate media’s hostility towards the average American. We needed him to inspire us to go against the establishment.
Donald Trump was actor Robin Williams in the film Dead Poets Society, the eccentric teacher who shouted “carpe diem” to teenagers who couldn’t resist the power of his personality. At the film’s climax, William’s character, the teacher John Keating, was wrongly blamed for the suicide of one of his students, Neil Perry. Perry’s parents forced the school to fire Keating, which devastated the throng of boys inspired by Keating’s teachings. The boys staged an impromptu riot in the classroom, shouting, “O Captain! My captain!” as Keating briefly returned to class to get his things.
Donald Trump is the star of the “Dead Dems Society”. His final lesson focused on electoral integrity. It peaked on January 6 when the establishment assassinated Ashli Babbitt for shouting “O Captain! My Captain!” inside the Capitol. The establishment blames Trump for Babbitt’s death. The truth is that corrupt politicians have put Babbitt in danger and an incompetent police officer acted incompetently.
My point is that we graduated from Welton Academy, the fictional preparatory school in Dead Poets Society. Keating taught his students well. He sent arrows into the world. His students no longer needed him. They knew how to seize the day.
Here we are with Donald Trump. We know what to do. Not the left. The left is now collapsing as it is forced to live without orbiting Trump, the source of its power.
“Everyone has benefited from the ratings and the clicks with the anti-Trump vitriol,” Fox News media analyst Joe Concha told me. “And now that Trump is gone, everyone is struggling.”
All left. CNN+ worked. Netflix is bleeding subscribers. Spotify declined to renew its deal with the Obamas. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow suddenly plans to only host her show once a week. Comedian Bill Maher now routinely makes as many jokes about liberals as he does conservatives. Jack Dorsey gave up his Twitter CEO chair, is a critic of the Twitter board and claims CNN orchestrated a conflict in Ferguson, Missouri, during the Michael Brown controversy.
When the left actually has to defend its agenda, rather than just shouting “Trump,” its madness takes center stage.
Disney is crazy. The Californian company wants to dictate politics in Florida. The Sunshine State passed a law prohibiting teachers from teaching preschoolers through third grade about sex and gender. It’s a rational law. It empowers parents, leaving them as their children’s primary groomers. Disney joined the left fighting against the law and parental self-determination.
Disney and the left want public school teachers to cultivate 5-year-olds’ sexuality and gender.
Trump’s absence from the White House puts the left’s agenda at the forefront of the reality shows broadcast by the corporate media. The show is an absolute train wreck. It’s satanic.
The leftist sitcom Defund the Police has led to a dramatic rise in crime and violence. It has now turned extreme leftists against its political allies. New York Mayor Eric Adams is embroiled in a feud with Black Lives Matter. Adams recently criticized BLM for ignoring the deaths of black people who were not killed by police.
Hank Newsome, the head of BLM New York, called Adams, who is black, a “white man with a black face.”
Now that they can’t fight Trump, the left are fighting each other. The modern left is not about rebuilding better. It’s about tearing down everything in sight.
The left needs Donald Trump in the White House more than we do. Its existence on the political stage has Democrats pretending to be a force for good. Without Trump, the Democrats are left with climate change. Speculating on Mother Nature isn’t nearly as profitable or interesting as naming Trump the next Adolf Hitler.
Don’t Look Up, the climate change movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, couldn’t save Netflix.
“Dead Dems Society” is still America’s #1 movie.
