As audiences await the return of the hit royal drama, The crownwhich will hit screens this winter, Netflix has revealed a number of details about the final season, which will be released for the first time in two separate parts.

The first part of the new season (released November 16th) focuses on the events in 1997 surrounding the death of Princess Diana, while the second part, consisting of six of the ten episodes (released December 14th), covers the transition of the monarchy into the 21st century. until the wedding of King Charles and Queen Camilla in 2005.

A central storyline in the second part of the show will be the blossoming relationship between young Prince William and college student Kate Middleton.

William will be played by newcomer Ed McVey, described by streaming platform and producer Netflix as a “new fairytale”, while the actress will also make her big screen debut in the role of Kate.

Who is Meg Bellamy?

Meg Bellamy is an actress who will make her big screen debut as Kate Middleton in the series finale The crownstars alongside Ed McVey as lover, Prince William.

Bellamy grew up in England, where she was reportedly head girl at St. Crispin’s School in Berkshire, the same county that is home to the real Kate and where Windsor Castle is located.

Bellamy studied acting and accordingly deadlinewon the role of Kate after submitting a self-video in response The crownThe casting directors will publish an open casting call in 2022.

According to the casting announcement, the show was looking for an “exceptional young actor” to portray the princess on screen when the king was 18 years old.

What storylines will Kate Middleton star in? The crownis the final season?

The role of Kate Middleton is unlikely to be introduced The crownis the final season until the release of the second episode on December 14th.

Bellamy was photographed filming scenes for the show with Ed McVey in and around the university town of St. Andrews, Scotland, where her royal counterparts first met while studying art history.

William and Kate became friends in 2001 during their freshman year of college. William soon switched to studying geography, but maintained his friendship with Kate and soon moved in with a group of friends.

The couple reportedly began dating seriously in 2003, and their relationship became public the following year after photos of the couple on a ski vacation with Prince Charles (now King Charles III) were published in the tabloids.

Events in The crown are expected to end in 2005, meaning the couple’s brief separation in 2007 and eventual marriage in 2011 are not covered.

The show could explore the early interest and persecution of Kate by the tabloids and paparazzi, mirroring what Princess Diana had experienced several years earlier and what was also covered in the series.

The crownThe author and creator of “Peter Morgan” was also able to dramatize the charity fashion show in St. Andrews, which took place in 2002 and which Kate also took part in. It is considered to be the occasion on which William’s romantic bond with his future wife first blossomed.

The sixth season of The Crown will be released worldwide in two parts on November 16th and December 14th exclusively on Netflix.
