Why was Calvin Robinson suspended from GB News?

CALVIN Robinson has become the third GB News presenter to be suspended by the broadcaster.
Here we take a look at why Reverend Calvin Robinson was suspended and what he said about it.
Who is Calvin Robinson?
Reverend Calvin Robinson, born October 29, 1984, is a political consultant, television and radio host.
Before his suspension, the deacon hosted a current affairs religious program on GB News.
Why was Calvin Robinson suspended from GB News?
On September 29, 2023, it was reported that Reverend Cavin Robinson was suspended for defending Dan Wootton following the Laurence Fox controversy.
Wootton and Laurence Fox were both suspended from the broadcaster.
It came after Fox made a series of comments about journalist Ava Evans – including asking “Who would want to fuck that?” during a discussion on Dan Wootton Tonight on Tuesday.
On Friday morning, GB News boss Angelos Frangopoulos apologized to Ms Evans for the comments, saying they “should not have been broadcast” and should have been “appropriately challenged” by Wootton.
Both Fox and Wootton have also since apologized and GB News is now conducting an internal investigation.
Regulator Ofcom has also launched an investigation after receiving around 7,300 complaints in relation to the incident.
What did Calvin Robinson say?
In a post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, on September 29, 2023, Calvin Robinson wrote: “I have been suspended from GB News.”
He had previously stated that he would not appear on Dan Wootton’s show without the suspended presenter, saying: “If he falls, we all fall.”
Addressing the situation, Rev. Robinson wrote: “Without Dan Wootton I will not be appearing on Dan Wootton Tonight. Dan Wootton played an important role in building GB News.”
The deacon also said GB News will be on “borrowed time” if it does not stand by Wootton.
Rev Robinson added: “Standing up for Dan means standing up for the idea of GB News. If he falls, we all fall.”
