Will AI affect your job? The technology is likely to have a significant impact on some industries
No matter what industry you’re in, it’s more than likely that artificial intelligence will impact your work in some way. However, some sectors will be hit harder than others.
It’s difficult to predict what jobs will be like in 20 or even 10 years. There are professions today that we could not have imagined ten years ago. So there are certain things that AI is good at right now, like coding, working with numbers, writing content, but it could do a lot more in the years to come.
According to researchers from OpenAI and the University of Pennsylvania, at least 10 percent of the workload of 80 percent of workers will be affected by AI, according to the New York Times. Another Goldman Sachs report covered by CNBC predicted so AI could impact 300 million jobs.

When it comes to AI and jobs, the conversation is different depending on who you’re talking to. Some believe that AI will take over the jobs entirely, while others believe that AI will not take over the jobs, just create different jobs than the ones we know now.
The list of industries that AI will impact is long, but here are just a few that it could have the biggest impact on.

1. Legal
Legal tasks involve a lot of research, review, and the writing of documents and procedures that could be automated through the use of AI.
A study conducted by researchers from Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania and New York University concluded that legal professions are “most affected by emerging AI technology,” according to the New York Times.

AI can relieve a lawyer of much of the busy work, such as legal research, collecting evidence and reviewing contracts.
2. Finance
Financial professions like accountants and financial advisors rely heavily on data and numbers, two things that AI is quite good at handling.
AI software could input data, analyze data, and make financial recommendations.
In fact, there are many banks that are already integrating AI into their work in some way. One example is Morgan Stanley, which according to the New York Times has used chatbots to help consultants research and retrieve data.
3. Healthcare
It is predicted that the healthcare industry will also be heavily impacted by AI.

There are a number of ways that AI could be used in healthcare. One is being able to make accurate predictions to better prepare hospitals. AI can be used to predict how many people will visit the emergency room and also to predict treatment for patients. It can also be used to make note-taking easier and find patient information quickly.
AI can also be widely used in healthcare to analyze scans, make diagnoses, and better communicate with patients.
4. Tech
Both software and code can be rapidly developed through AI, meaning many technical professions such as software and computer programmers could be affected. AI can design and create programs, as well as search for and identify problems.

This could significantly change the way many tech jobs work in the future. More jobs will likely emerge around AI software.
5. Graphic Design
DALL-E is just one example of AI software capable of generating images in just a few seconds.
Artworks created by AI will impact professions such as graphic design, as artworks can be created quickly and with great detail.
6. Media/Movie
This is a far-reaching industry and AI will likely impact everything. On the media side, AI was able to produce written content quickly. Some media companies have already started using AI to generate content, although many have been criticized for articles with incorrect information.

Additionally, the film industry is another area that AI could impact from screenwriting to post-production. The way films are produced and consumed is likely to be affected.
AI is capable of producing screenplays, so AI could potentially write Hollywood movies. AI could also be used in the production of a film. It could help find actors for roles, produce special effects, and help predict how well a film will perform.
Taking it a step further, AI technology could theoretically create a movie without the actors actually being involved. One Hollywood director who has spoken out about this is Joe Russo, the director of several Avengers movies.
“Possibly what you could do with it [AI] “We obviously use it to construct and alter storytelling,” Russo said at a panel moderated by Collider’s Steve Weintraub Sands at the International Film Festival in St Andrews, Scotland. “So you have an ever-evolving story, either in a game or in a movie or a TV show.” You could go into your house and store the AI on your streaming platform. “Hey, I want a movie with my photorealistic avatar and Marilyn Monroe’s photorealistic avatar.” “I want it to be a romantic comedy because I’ve had a rough day,” and it renders a very competent story with dialogue, yours mimic voice. It mimics your voice and suddenly you have a 90-minute romantic comedy starring you. That way you can tailor your story just for you.”
AI is already unlocking so many aspects of our lives and is constantly changing. There are already companies using AI technology for some of their business functions. As time and technology advances, more industries are likely to join.
