William, Harry show united royal front behind Queen as State Funeral begins

Princes William and Harry presented a united front as they joined senior members of the royal family for a state funeral behind the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on Sunday.

The act of paying tribute to their late grandmother is the latest in a string of public appearances together after the brothers were not photographed side by side for over a year before their deaths.

The funeral procession left Westminster Hall, where the Queen’s body was laid out on Monday morning, followed by her four children; King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward and three of their grandchildren; William, Harry and Peter Phillips (Princess Anne’s son).

William appeared in a Royal Air Force military uniform. Harry appeared in morning dress, having relinquished his military honors when he fully resigned as a member of the royal family in 2021, despite completing two tours of duty in Afghanistan.

The royal party was joined by their spouses along with Prince George of Wales, 9, and Princess Charlotte of Wales, 7, at Westminster Abbey for a procession down the abbey aisle at the start of the funeral.

This is an evolving story and will be updated.
