Take advantage of Elden ringthe robust magic systems and item abilities of witcher 3 Fan skillfully finds a way to recreate Geralt’s dual sword fighting style.
With its magnificent story of a journey through kingdoms, worlds and time, it’s no wonder The Witcher remains one of the most well-known game titles. The trio of main games have resulted in a hugely popular Netflix live-action series, and there’s no shortage of fan-made content.
Not dissimilar The Witcher is Elden ring, the latest release from FromSoftware. Also a medieval fantasy action RPG game, Elden ring derives its inspiration from much darker source material. Still, the two have a number of similarities – both feature a vast world and offer a wide variety of mechanics. In both games, players have an incredible amount of freedom to customize their builds to suit their preferred playstyle.
Looking at both, it’s easy to see how Tarnished could fit into the world of The Witcher – and vice versa. Luckily, a fan found a way to get Geralt into the Lands Between; Redditor u/Fatg0d used only existing abilities and gear (that’s right – no mods!) and recreated Geralt’s sword style, marks, and potion effects in-game.
u/Fatg0ds BUILD TO CREATE GERALT’S WITCHER FIGHTING STYLE
Even though Elden ring presents a series of far more difficult combat situations, The Witcher‘s struggle is not to laugh. As Geralt battles massive monsters, players must use skillful sword skills, magic, and handy item effects to emerge victorious. The result is a very varied approach to combat – a fairly similar one in fact Elden ring‘s.
Given Geralt’s enormous range of fighting abilities, Redditor u/Fatg0d thought there would be a way to replicate Geralt’s fighting style in the game. And through a combination of clever use of items and weapons, u/Fatg0d was right.
In the clip originally posted on Reddit, u/Fatg0d demonstrates the various abilities he used to replace Witcher abilities. Geralt is decked out in simple prison garb and leather boots and gloves. Of course, he also wields two trusty swords: The Exiled Knight’s Claymore and Greatsword.
Additionally, u/Fatg0d uses items such as grease and potions to mimic the effects of Witcher oils and potions. These items gave themselves similar buffs and gave their tainted sorcerer the upper hand in combat. After practical elements, u/Fatg0d uses various magical effects that are remarkably similar to Geralt’s characters.
Red Mane Flame is a surefire copy of Igni, while waves of darkness shines purple like Yrden. The player also used the Opal Blister Rupture to create a bubble shield around the tarnished Geralt and recreate Quen. Last the Ash of War: Storm Blade offers a similar mechanic The Witcher‘s Aard that pushes enemies back with a wave of kinetic energy.
All in all, it’s a pretty accurate translation of The witcher 3Geralt’s fighting style. Check out the full video by u/Fatg0d showing the build below:
