Woman who gets almost $700 worth of Ulta items for 34 cents gets 19 million views

The internet is buzzing with the viral video of a woman showing how she can get nearly $700 worth of Ulta items for just 34 cents.
A TikTok has gained tremendous popularity and was uploaded by Dayanara Herrera – who uses the username @dayanara.herrera5 – which has been viewed 19.4 million times and has 3.4 million likes.
“The Ulta Points System >>> WHO WANTS A HAUL,” she captioned the video.
As seen in the viral post, Herrera records the credit card machine as their grand total is $677.64. The employee discounted it with a 20 percent coupon, bringing the price down to $542.07. After that, the employee used Herrera’s Ulta Rewards points, which brought the price down to 34 cents.
Many other TikTok users were quick to share their thoughts.
“gurl ulta has the best scoring system…if you don’t have allegiance what do you do gurl,” wrote one.
“How can I only ever have $3 worth of points?” asked another.
One TikTok user said, “I RAN to see how many points I had…worth $3.”
“ulta staff here SIGN UP FOR LOYALTY,” urged one.
Another user admitted, “I’ve never been able to save more than $100 worth of points, I just have to use them.”
One TikToker explained: “I bought the entire Dyson Air Wrap set with my points and still had enough left over to buy a second one if I wanted to.”
An alleged ex-employee gave advice: “Get the ulta app and benefit from the ‘2x-5x points’ on selected products!

In a follow-up video, Herrera showed off all the items she bought, including skincare, hair and makeup products, and perfume.
In another recent video, she explains how she received all the products with her reward points.
“First things first, you have to download the Ulta app, but it’s really handy because when you do, you can see your points,” she shared a screenshot of her scores page.
She explained that viewers can view and activate all Ulta offers to earn points faster.
“If you’re a regular member, your points will expire, so I’d recommend you use them up. Unless you want to become a Diamond or Platinum member. If you become a Diamond or Platinum member, your points never expire,” she said.
To become a Diamond or Platinum member, you must spend a certain amount within a year. To achieve platinum status you must spend $500 in one year. Diamond status requires you to spend $1200 in a year.
Herrera also suggests getting an Ulta credit card: “I was also approved for the Mastercard and that gave me a 20 percent discount. If you want to apply for that, there are two cards, a regular Ulta card and the Mastercard, that you can use outside of Ulta and still get points for Ulta. But the APRs are terrible, so just consider that.”
She also explained that the Mastercard gives its users double points.
