World Cup: Hundreds of fans gather at the Santa Monica Brewery to watch the USA v Wales game

SANTA MONICA (KABC) — Monday’s World Cup match between USA and Wales in Qatar ended in a 1-1 draw.
Hundreds of fans showed their support for USA at the Santa Monica Brew Works watch party hosted by the Los Angeles Football Club.
LAFC has five players participating in the 2022 World Cup.
“It feels good that they not only represent the club but also our country and other countries,” said Mid-City’s Richard Fuentes.
In Monday’s game, fans saw two LAFC players compete. Kellyn Acosta plays for the USA and Gareth Bale is on the Wales team.
Bale scored Wales’ only goal of the game.
“Lots of ups and downs but as a Wales fan I’m really happy we got a draw in the end,” said Sam Cotterill, a Wales fan visiting from London.
The USA returned to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar after an eight-year wait.
The US men’s national team is the youngest team to qualify.
The USA play against England on Friday. Santa Monica Brew Works will be hosting another watch party for this game.
