Yara Shahidi’s Red Carpet Style: See Her Best Outfits!
A true style star, Yara Shahidi earned an honorary master’s degree in fashion – in addition to her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
Shahidis The guide to a successful outfit is simple: comfort. “Of course, fashion is a form of expression,” she says told exclusively Us weekly in 2019. “And so I always find new pieces that speak to me, but feeling comfortable is everything.”
The Adult alum performs the “robot test” to determine if an outfit is present will make the cut. “If my clothes are too tight for the robot, I know I can’t wear them because they’re either too tight, too loose, too long or too short,” she explained.
Shahidi works with stylist Jason Bolden to develop “lively and experimental” ensembles. ““You can’t take yourself too seriously, especially on red carpets.” said the actress Us. “I mean, you go to a fun event and hear someone talking… it’s not life-threatening. It’s one of those moments where you’re allowed to experiment with what you want to do.”
